I Miss You

Disneyland at Christmas is worth every penny. 023

Sleeping Beauty Castle was adorned with snow in day and icicles at night.

We went through the Haunted House twice, the entire thing was redone in "Night Before Christmas!" It was amazing, I wanted to move in. 033 038031034035

The characters were in full array, I wanted to dance with Pinocchio. 020022006

California Adventure, isn't my cup of tea. There are a lot of scary rides.
002

The roller coaster was Tim's favorite, he went single.
011
The only ride I like there, is Heimlich from a Bugs Life. This ride lasted approx. 18 seconds and included a gigantic squirting watermelon. 010

We spent a lot of time in the kiddie ride section, where I instructed Tim to give me his best Mr. Toad impression.
022

We watched the Christmas Parade 3 times because I had to see these ridiculous snowmen, I couldn't get enough. Watch for them at the 1 minute mark, after the moving Christmas Tree, they are L O V E R S.

Good bye Disneyland, thank you for a lot of silliness, the best carmel apple I have ever eaten and a moonlit dinner inside Pirates Of The Caribbean, I will see you again soon.

Happiest Place On Earth

No, not sitting in the lap of Daniel Craig.

DISNEYLAND.

You ask, what could be better than Disneyland? I answer: Disneyland decorated for Christmas!

I leave in 2 days.

This is what Tim has heard for a month: "...and every night, they play Christmas music and make it snow on Main street!" "They even decorate the Haunted Mansion like 'Nightmare Before Christmas'"

I need Pooh Bear, I need caramel apples, I need the Peter Pan ride, I need to watch every single parade and show they offer.

I get 3 full days of Disneyland and I am very happy about that.

My Favorite Things

Oprah has been on my nerves a lot lately, I can't put my finger on it exactly, except that she seems to think she should yell all the time and announce her guests with said yelling and long long syllable pauses. Don't even get me started with her putting her big mug on every damn cover of her magazine.

But I do enjoy her favorite things lists, and since I can't sensibly afford $200 African sheep wool and leather of Yak slippers, I will share with you my favorite things, or "Favorite Things From Someone Who Isn't a Billionaire."

This is an ammmmmmazing (use Oprah voice here) carpet cleaner. It heats its own water and deep cleans, almost like a commercial one. It's pretty and purple too. I abhor dirty carpet.

My "I love cats" blanket. It's soft and not too big, Morgan made it and Griffin picked out the material. I don't like when anyone uses it but me.

These 3 products are marvelous. If I were completely honest with myself, I would need to admit that a lot of their appeal is the packaging. Yes, Chanel No 5 is a classic cologne, but people look at the bottle design! and this mascara makes me feel like I have Liza Minnelli lashes.

The Illuminations candle store. I get weak in the knees when I enter, the last time I was there I lost my way near the back of the store and started turning around in circles mumbling about "there is too much in here I want, too much" Tim bought me these shell pillars that hold stands of tea lights and gently led me out.

This little floor heater is my best friend. He keeps my tile warm for me after I step out of the shower, he is also inexpensive and doesn't ask anything of me. He gently keeps my feet warm as I apply my make up, he listens as I explain to him how excited I still am about Obama winning and how much I still hate Palin and wish one of her snow machines would run her over. No judging from sweet heater, just love.

My monthly issue of Vanity Fair. When I see its shiny cover, covered in plastic wrap sitting inside my mailbox, a small shiver goes down my spine. It's in my opinion, the perfect magazine. A combination of Hollywood and politics and all kinds of other stuff, not the least of which is fabulous photography.

What are your favorite things?

All We Need Is Love

Same sex partners, do not give up. There will be a day, when your civil right to marriage will not be prohibited because of your sexual orientation. I do believe that bigotry and discrimination are really born of fear, fear of something different from us. It is a sad thing, that in this 21st century we are still dealing with ignorance in the name of calling it a moral issue.

It's simple actually, we, none of us have the right under any circumstances to tell someone else how they will live their life. I have a gay brother. I can't imagine telling him that 1. he can't marry his partner of 10 years and 2. it's because it will cause my marriage to become less relevant.

We have come a long way from slavery, Japanese internment camps, allowing women and African Americans to vote and the LDS Church not allowing African Americans to have the priesthood. We just took a huge step backward.

I believe one day, our brothers and sisters who were BORN gay will be able to marry the person they love.

Robert Sweatinson

Dear actor who will be playing Edward in Twilight,

Please stop ruining my fantasy image. No need to don a douchie knit cap or a short sleeved shirt with a Men's Warehouse tie.

Please take your obviously baked self and remain away from the cameras. I don't want to hear your English accent either.

Vampires don't sweat.

Love,
Michelle

The One

I had no one to celebrate with last night, Tim voted for McCain, so I found Fatness and we high-fived and embraced.

History was made.

I cried when I heard Charlie Gibson say "we are calling it, Obama has won." Thank you America for not letting something as stupid as the pigment of one's skin matter, thank you for a vote for hope.

In honor of our first African-American President, I cut my first roses of the season.
