Party Full of Krittens

This year I asked that everyone come as a cat or a version of a cat, I was met with no arguments. Here is a sampling:

I was an Alley-cat (that is trash glued to me) or as Mike said "you look like Recycle Cat"


Chris was a very cute Hairy Potter, Sween a Fairy Cat, Abby a Black cat and her friend a Cleopatra Cat.


We played a mummy game. Object: wrap your mummy the fastest, Griffin won and became very dizzy, Zach was more concerned with making sure Erica's face was well wrapped and took his time or as he said "slow and steady wins the race" well it didn't this time.

Happy Halloween!

This is Halloween This is Halloween

October 2 + 106 degrees = Phoenix Sucks.

The only solution is to decorate for Halloween and pretend there are crisp fall leaves outside and blustery cool breezes. Like Caca said "I try to pretend it isn't hot and then I give up."

I just use a lot of profanity and a lot of air conditioning, but either way it's my favorite time of the year.

Confusing Halloween

I came across some "vintage" Halloween pictures of Jeri, Allison and I. I have no idea what or who we are supposed to be.

All wearing cut-offs, long-johns and stockings over our faces? We are in Allison's living room and apparently very proud of our confusing costumes.


Tammy Faye? Hooker? Primary President?


Jeri and I are in my Mother's glasses, Allison looks like a young Marilyn Monroe or Ellie Mae Clampett, I'm wearing awkward shoes and cut-offs. I have no idea.


Perhaps Allison can shed some light on this nonsense.

October=Cooler Weather=a less bitchy me.

First a shout out to Allison who created this very cute header. She is multi talented and artistically amazing.

October 1st meant only one thing to me, 30 days until All Hallows Eve, and it's time to get out the festive decorations and the 100+ temperatures were leaving. So 3 things actually.

I decorated my fireplace with, tin pumpkins, different candlesticks and my favorite witch. I usually put her on the piano, but wanted her closer to me. Last year I proudly proclaimed to Erica "I'm going to collect witches." Thus far, still just the one.

I created this ghost using old pumpkin lights and a tall glass vase, isn't he spooky and very ghoulish?

Dining room. Tim said this centerpiece "looked messy" I disagree.

I painted my front door, and bought this urn. Is there anything cuter than a bright pink Geranium and Mr. Skeleton casting a shadow on my door?
